During the first semester students will review basics, such as sentence writing and then focus on paragraph writing. This is to develop the students writing skills for Academic Writing Two, so that participants are prepared for and capable of writing a full essay. The lesson will involve using both the textbook and also independent writing.The final goal of the course is that all students complete a selection of typed and correctly formatted paragraphs on vari-ous topics. Students will also develop the necessary skills to type and correctly format a piece of written work in English using a computer.Students are expected to complete all assigned homework and written assignments, including online homework.Since each lesson and unit builds on the previous ones, it is important for students to make enough time to complete the homework.
